About
Committees
A volunteer council does exactly as much as its volunteers do. These are the groups that make the work happen — and all of them have room.
Events
Plans the Breakfast & Tradeshow, excavator breakfasts and the golf tournament. Handles venues, programme, exhibitors and sponsor logistics.
Who we need: People who can book a room, chase an agenda, and greet strangers at 6:30 in the morning.
Education & Outreach
Builds the safety sessions, coordinates with Colorado 811's field liaison, and takes the message to crews and job sites.
Who we need: Anyone comfortable presenting to a room of excavators — and anyone who has learned something the hard way and is willing to say so.
Homeowner Outreach
Community events, spring project season campaigns and Dig Safely Month. The hardest audience to reach and the one least likely to know 811 exists.
Who we need: Volunteers for weekend events, and organizations that can lend equipment for demonstrations.
Damage Data Review
Reviews Colorado 811's county-level figures for the metro, identifies what's actually driving incidents here, and feeds that back into what we teach.
Who we need: People who like spreadsheets and are willing to ask uncomfortable questions about their own numbers.
Sponsorship
The council has no dues, so this committee funds everything else. Manages sponsor relationships and the annual packages.
Who we need: Anyone with industry relationships and the patience to follow up.

You don't need to commit to a title. Come to a meeting, see which of these you'd actually enjoy, and go from there.
